2026 upcoming Events

OPEN FRIDAYS March - October
Our Outdoor Classroom in Cheat Lake will be open for visitors on Fridays from 1-6pm, March 13 through October 30, 2026. This is a chance for you and your family to visit and learn about the non-releasable birds in the ACCA's care. No appointment is needed and it is free to visit on Fridays, but donations are always welcome to help support the birds' care.  Please note that these Friday hours are intended for families, friends, and individuals to visit. To schedule a tour for a group or class, please contact us.

Morgantown Migratory Bird Day, May 9.
Join us at Cooper's Rock State Forest on Saturday, May 9, for our annual Morgantown Migratory Bird Day celebration! Everyone is welcome at this free, family friendly event. The day begins with a guided bird walk on the Raven Rock Trail at 7:30am. After the walk, join us in Pavilion #2 (near the overlook) for live bird presentations, owl pellet dissection, and bird-themed arts and crafts. We will wrap up around 2pm. See you there!

Raptor Camp 2026
June 8-11 (for K-2 grade, 9am-12:30pm)
June 15-18 (for 3rd-5th grade, 9am-4pm)

Summer Party, Saturday, June 20, 2026.
This is our super fun annual fundraising event! The party will be held at our Outdoor Classroom in Cheat Lake and will feature local food and drink, music, a live auction, and more. Registration is OPEN! For tickets and information, click here.
