Introduction:
At the ACCA, we believe in the power of community-driven conservation. American kestrel populations are facing decline, and we are determined to uncover the reasons behind it. Through the Peregrine Fund’s American Kestrel Partnership, we're launching a comprehensive research initiative with the support of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources (WVDNR). Research Goals: Our primary goals involve monitoring American kestrel nest boxes, determining their success, investigating causes of failure, and contributing valuable data for local and continental-scale analysis. By involving our community, we aim to empower citizens to play a direct role in avian conservation. Our research extends beyond the birds; we're measuring the impact of these community relationships too!
