ACCA researchers identify research questions, collaborate with other organizations, and carry out research projects related to avian conservation. When possible, these projects involve interested citizens and community members.
Our research volunteers are active members of many professional organizations, including the American Ornithologists Union, Cooper Ornithological Society, Raptor Research Foundation, The Wildlife Society, and the Society for Conservation Biology. For more about the people involved with the ACCA, visit Our Team. The ACCA is partnering with West Virginia University’s Division of Forestry and Natural Resources and The Peregrine Fund’s American Kestrel Partnership to launch our first research project, Conserving American Kestrels in the Appalachians: A Citizen Science Research Project. Check back soon for information on how to participate in this exciting project. |
